Using the power of sport to build successful adults.

I have been a part of the freeski movement since it began in the late 90's. I began my career in traditional freestyle disciplines, making the Canadian National Development Mogul Team in 99. At this same time I was beginning to receive recognition on the "new school" scene. Summer of 99 I began coaching for the Whistler Summer Ski & Snowboard camp, I filmed with Poor Boyz Productions, Level 1 Productions and Heavy Hitting Films. As my journey down the path of a National Team athlete moved forward I felt the pull towards the park and pipe grow stronger until finally in January 2000, while at a NorAm in Le Relais QC, I made the decision to quit the Canadian Team. I booked a 59hr Greyhound bus ticket from Calgary AB to Vail CO for the US Freeskiing Open. This decision was the one that ultimately led me down the life path that I still find myself on today. Over the next 6 years I traveled the world doing movie and magazine shoots, and competing with the worlds best, including 4 X games. Skiing taught me accountability, communications, marketing, independence. I also gained extensive experience with contract negotiations, product design, invoicing and accounting. after my competitive career I spent 2 years working as the International Team Manager for Atomic Skis Freeski Program. I proceeded to take a number of years away from the ski industry, in December 2011 I went to a Ski Movie re-premiere, while there I reconnected with may old friends. One of those friends was Sarah Burke. Sarah said to me that night "The ski industry needs you, you really should find a way to come back". Those words never left my mind and when I got the call on January 19 2012 telling me that Sarah had passed away something sparked a flame inside of me that had been burned out for years. That was the exact moment that my coaching journey truly began.

In the past 9 years I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most incredible athletes and industry professionals imaginable. I have worked with 15 athletes who are currently on, or were on, the Canadian NextGen and/or World Cup Teams. Some of those athletes, along with a few of my other former athletes are now coaches themselves. Now, branching out on my own, I'm looking to bring that same continued level of success to Athletes and coaches alike, from the development level all the way up.
